Manifold Merch Bridge: Now on Shopify

Gate physical merch on your Shopify store or collect your own custom form data directly from collectors - all by verifying ownership of any Ethereum NFT.

Today we’re making yet another free tool for creators available to everyone: Manifold Merch Bridge. The tool can be used to easily set up and configure a token gated experience for any Ethereum NFT (ERC721 or ERC1155). We’ve launched with Shopify integration via our official Manifold x Shopify App enabling the ability for creators to specify products that can only be purchased or claimed by verified hodlers of an NFT. We’ve also built support enabling the ability to token gate custom forms for the flexibility and creativity of collecting any data imaginable.

Who’s using it?

A number of prominent artists, brands, and independent creators have already built unique experiences for collectors and communities with Merch Bridge. Steve Aoki launched a custom claim page inviting all hodlers of the Nyan Aoki token to claim a free custom Nyan Aoki Letterman Jacket. The team at 1/n have been building experiences directly inside of Shopify, creating branded claim flows for their dead drippers and series 69 projects with custom merch to raise money for awesome causes. MetaZoo Games, known for their popular collectible card game, has used the technology to run multiple pre-sale experiences for new card drops only for those with their MetaZoo Games tokens. Artists like Whitelights and NFTweak are adding even more value and utility to their collections with token gated apparel built right into their stores. We’ve even seen the beginnings of innovative projects like MintBook, who will be using Manifold Studio and Merch Bridge for NFT claims of their upcoming physical and digital book project.

Our stance hasn’t changed; the creator is the platform. We believe creators, of any and all types, should have the tools at their disposal to not only create their work and build community, but to foster and grow those communities. Merch Bridge is the first of many free tools we have planned that will help creators accomplish this. And not only can creators take advantage of this tech. How does it work?

Merch Bridge builds upon our Connect Wallet widget, using an OAuth connection to query NFT data of your connected users via Manifold APIs. Our new Campaign Widget uses this information in conjunction with configurable token gated “campaigns” managed in the Manifold Developer Portal.

Within each campaign things like start and end date, the tokens required for claim, the individual Shopify products you want to make available, and desired discount application can be configured. Once a campaign is set, the Connect Wallet and Campaign widgets will need to be embedded within your site, referencing your Client and Campaign IDs from Manifold Developer Portal.

From here you’re good to go. Upon campaign start collectors can connect their wallets, navigate through the redemption widget to prove NFT ownership, and finalize checkout via secure a secure URL.

What else?

Aside from our most popular option of integrating directly with your Shopify store for individual product claims, we’ve built token gated tools to be usable in a number of other creative ways as well:

• Not using Shopify and want to build a custom form to collect emails and shipping addresses for that custom print your rewarding hodlers with? You can do that.

• Want to poll your token holders? Take a token-gated vote? You can do that.

• Need to take a quick snapshot and export it as a CSV? You can actually do that too...
